Former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has officially obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress.

The development took place on Thursday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, where the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate arrived alongside a large number of loyal supporters and political allies.
Atiku Describes Move as National Rescue Mission
However, speaking after collecting the forms, Atiku described his presidential ambition as more than just another political contest.
According to him, the journey represents a united national movement aimed at rebuilding Nigeria, restoring hope, and reversing the hardship currently facing many citizens across the country.
Also, he stressed that the mission is centered on renewal, prosperity, and the determination to return the nation to better days.
Call for Unity Across Nigeria
The former Vice President also appealed to Nigerians from all regions, religions, and ethnic backgrounds to support the movement ahead of the 2027 general election.
Atiku said the country needs collective effort and unity to overcome its present challenges and reclaim its lost promise.
