The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has announced the arrival of twin princes with his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola.
The respected monarch shared the joyful news on his official Facebook page on Friday, describing the birth as a great blessing to the Royal House of Oduduwa.
Royal Family Celebrates New Arrival
In his message, the Ooni expressed gratitude to God for the safe delivery of the babies and the wellbeing of their mother.
According to the monarch, both Olori Mariam and the newborn princes are healthy and doing well.
He also extended congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa, calling the moment a joyful addition to the royal throne.
Birth Comes After Years of Family Changes
The announcement comes years after the Ooni’s separation from his former wife, Olori Naomi.
Following the separation, the monarch married several wives in 2022 within a short period. Among them were Mariam Anako, Elizabeth Akinmuda, Tobiloba Philips, Ashley Adegoke, Ronke Ademiluyi and Temitope Adesegun.
Ooni Speaks on Multiple Marriages
While celebrating his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary, the traditional ruler explained that his marriages were deeply connected to the cultural heritage and traditions of Ile-Ife.
He noted that his decisions were influenced by royal customs tied to the throne and the preservation of tradition.
Uche Jombo Consoles Late Alexx Ekubo’s Wife
In a separate development, Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has pledged support for the wife of late actor Alexx Ekubo following his reported death.
The actress revealed on Instagram that she joined friends and colleagues in visiting the actor’s home to comfort his wife and honour his memory.
Emotional Moments During Visit
Uche Jombo said the gathering was filled with emotions as loved ones reflected on Alexx Ekubo’s life and career.
