The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has declared that President Bola Tinubu has lost control of Nigeria’s worsening insecurity crisis.

Baba-Ahmed made the bold statement during an interview on Arise News on Thursday, warning that the country is drifting deeper into danger under the current administration.
“No Handle on Escalating Violence”
The PRP chairman said violent attacks and kidnappings are now spreading across all regions of the country, leaving no area safe.
According to him, Nigeria is currently facing a level of insecurity that is rapidly spiraling out of control.
He insisted that in a functioning democracy, such a security record would have already triggered serious political consequences.
“Every Part of Nigeria Is Now Vulnerable”
Baba-Ahmed warned that insecurity is no longer regional but nationwide.
He said even children are now victims of kidnapping, describing the situation as deeply alarming.
From urban centres to rural communities, he said Nigerians are living in fear as criminal activities intensify.
Government Accused of Normalising Crisis
The PRP leader also accused the Tinubu administration of treating insecurity as if it were normal.
He said the government appears to have accepted the crisis instead of confronting it head-on.
According to him, this failure has allowed violence and kidnappings to continue unchecked.
“Tinubu Has Spectacularly Failed” — Baba-Ahmed
In one of his strongest remarks, Baba-Ahmed said the federal government has failed in its most basic responsibility — protecting lives and property.
He warned that Nigerians are becoming increasingly unsafe and exposed to criminal networks.
He also raised concerns that the situation could worsen ahead of the next election cycle.
Calls for Tinubu’s Resignation
The PRP chairman insisted that the party’s call for President Tinubu’s resignation is not political, but driven by the worsening security situation.
He said if current trends continue, Nigerians may eventually reject the President at the polls.
“Nigerians Will Reject Him”
Baba-Ahmed added that insecurity has become the defining issue shaping public perception of the government.

He said Nigerians are already losing confidence and could respond decisively in future elections if nothing changes.
Nation on Edge as Insecurity Deepens
His comments add to growing criticism of the federal government over rising kidnappings, bandit attacks, and violent crimes across the country.
For many Nigerians, the message remains the same — urgent action is needed before the situation gets worse.
