A Lagos-based TikTok personality, Cindy of Oshodi, has broken her silence after a private video allegedly involving her began circulating online.

According to reports, the clip—said to have surfaced on an adult platform—quickly sparked intense reactions across social media.
While some users condemned her, others called for compassion and urged people not to rush to judgment.
Addressing the situation in a video shared on her TikTok page, Cindy explained that the footage dates back to around 2019 or 2020, which she described as a particularly challenging period in her life.
She admitted regret over the incident and chose to apologise specifically to her loyal supporters.
“I wasn’t planning to speak on this at all,” she said. “But for those who have continued to stand by me regardless of everything, I owe you an apology. I’m truly sorry for letting you down.”
She acknowledged that many followers might feel disappointed, noting that the version of herself in the video does not reflect who she is today.
“That was years ago—2019 or 2020,” she added. “I accept responsibility, and I deeply regret it.
But honestly, most people don’t understand what I was going through at the time.”
Cindy also revealed that she was struggling financially when the video was recorded, suggesting that her circumstances influenced her decisions back then.
“If I were to ask for help now, people would probably laugh,” she said. “Back then, I didn’t have guidance or stability.”

The development comes shortly after a similar controversy involving another social media figure, Sisi Alagbo, who also issued a public apology following the leak of a private video.
