Pastor Chibuzor Suspends Autistic Daughter’s Marriage Plan After 1,000 Suitors Apply

The founder of Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has halted plans to arrange a marriage for his 21-year-old adopted daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor, who is autistic, following an overwhelming wave of interest from prospective suitors.

Pastor Chibuzor Suspends Autistic Daughter’s Marriage Plan After 1,000 Suitors Apply

In a statement shared on his social media page on Thursday, the cleric revealed that more than 1,000 men had applied to marry her, prompting him to suspend the process indefinitely while he reassesses the next steps.

“Chiemeka Chibuzor’s wedding is hereby suspended,” he announced, adding that further direction would be communicated at a later time.

The Big Announcement

The proposed arrangement had earlier drawn widespread attention after the pastor publicly invited interested men to apply.

He outlined specific requirements, including that applicants must be young and medically fit, both physically and mentally.

To support the union, he also offered a range of incentives to the eventual husband.

These included lifetime financial assistance, free housing, and ownership of a home to be shared by the couple.

He further noted that members of his church would conduct periodic, unannounced visits to ensure the welfare of his daughter.

This development comes not long after the cleric facilitated a similar union for a non-verbal autistic man known as Aboy, whose wedding to an older woman was organised by the church in late March.
