Bishop David Oyedepo has issued a strong spiritual warning against armed groups and their backers, declaring that those behind killings and kidnappings across Nigeria will face divine consequences.

Speaking during a Sunday service themed “Covenant Day of Vengeance” at the headquarters of Living Faith Church Worldwide in Ota, Ogun State, the cleric said justice would come swiftly against perpetrators of violence troubling the nation.
He told congregants to expect what he described as “acts of divine intervention” within days, insisting that those responsible for bloodshed would not go unpunished.
“I pronounce judgment on all those behind these atrocities and everyone supporting them. Within days, there will be evidence,” he declared.
Oyedepo expressed confidence that the coming week would bring testimonies reflecting what he called God’s vengeance against insecurity.
Raises Alarm Over Fraudsters Using His Identity
In a separate remark, the prominent preacher acknowledged the growing presence of fraudsters operating both within and outside religious spaces.
He recounted a recent incident involving an individual who allegedly impersonated him in an attempt to defraud unsuspecting people.
According to Oyedepo, the suspect contacted members while posing as him and requesting financial assistance.
However, the scheme reportedly unraveled when one of his aides engaged the caller directly.
“Someone claimed to be me and was making requests. When my assistant connected the person to me, the deception became clear,” he explained.
He warned members of the church and the public to remain vigilant, noting that his name and image are sometimes exploited for fraudulent purposes.
He also urged believers to uphold integrity and avoid falling victim to scams disguised under religious pretenses.
