Bronx father says bullying may have led to his son’s death, Javits Frimpong while heading to class on October 29.
He was only 15‑year‑old and was shot in the stomach which led to his death.
Javits had marked one year since arriving from Ghana to live with his father.
He was shot near East 171st Street and Third Avenue in the Claremont area.
Surveillance footage captured him sprinting while pursued by a figure in black.
He continued running about one block after sustaining the abdominal gunshot wound.
He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries.
His father says two students were suspended recently for bullying Javits.
The NYPD has not officially confirmed bullying as the motive for the killing.
No arrests have so far been made in connection with the fatal incident.
Investigators continue searching for three teenage suspects who fled the scene.
The suspects are said to have worn dark clothing and blue surgical masks.
