The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has begun releasing results for candidates who participated in the first batch of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Results, Warns Against Score Manipulation

In an announcement issued on Friday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that candidates can now access their scores, though only through the official result-checking channels for the time being.

He noted that the option to print results has not yet been activated.

The Board also issued a stern warning against any attempt to tamper with or manipulate the SMS results sent via its official platforms.

According to JAMB, altering scores to deceive others—whether parents or the public—amounts to a serious criminal offence and will be treated accordingly.

How Candidates Can Check Their UTME Results

To check their results, candidates are instructed to send “UTMERESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they used during registration.

In a related development, JAMB revealed that two candidates and one parent have been arrested for allegedly falsifying examination results using artificial intelligence and other digital tools.

The Board confirmed that the individuals are currently in custody and will face prosecution.

JAMB emphasised that it will not tolerate any form of examination malpractice or result manipulation, warning that anyone found guilty will face the full weight of the law.
