Speaking during an interview with Korty EO, the reality star revealed that she chose to keep the surgery a secret from her mother, knowing she would strongly oppose the idea.

According to Mercy, the procedure came at a time when BBL was becoming increasingly popular, and she felt the pressure to follow the trend.

“I got a BBL because it was trending and there was a lot of peer pressure,” she said.

The reality TV personality disclosed that the recovery process was far more challenging than she had anticipated, describing the first few days after the surgery as extremely painful.

She explained that patients are unable to sit or lie on their backs for about two weeks following the operation, adding that the pain during the initial three days was particularly intense.

“I didn’t tell my mum because I knew she would discourage me. You can’t sleep on your bum for 14 days, and you’ll cry for the first three days from the pain,” she recalled.

Her revelation has sparked fresh conversations online about the growing influence of beauty trends, cosmetic surgery and peer pressure, particularly among young women navigating public attention and social media expectations.
