EFCC Warns Content Creators Against Unauthorised Use of Its Identity in Skits

The agency made it clear that anyone found flouting this directive risks facing legal consequences.

In a statement shared on its official 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, the EFCC revealed growing concern over the increasing number of skits and online videos featuring its name, logo, uniforms, and overall likeness without approval.

According to the commission, many of these portrayals misrepresent its core values and operational standards.

It emphasised that it has not granted permission to any individual or group to incorporate its identity into entertainment content.

The EFCC stressed that it does not support, sponsor, or endorse any comedy, drama, or digital production that uses its branding without formal written consent.

It further urged the public, particularly content creators, to immediately stop using any of its official symbols or representations in their work unless authorisation is obtained.
