The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that its recruitment portal will reopen from October 28 to November 13, 2026, for candidates who have progressed to the advanced stages of the ongoing recruitment exercise.

The board said the reopening is intended to enable eligible candidates to complete the remaining requirements for employment and does not provide an opportunity for new applicants to enter the recruitment process.
Secretary to the board, A.M. Jibril, announced the development on Thursday in Abuja following a meeting of the board.
According to Jibril, the exercise concerns candidates who have already completed medical screening, oral interviews and other required assessments.
He outlined the steps candidates must follow during the period, including checking their recruitment status and completing a mandatory drug screening.
Candidates are expected to log on to the official recruitment portal at recruitment.cdcfib.org within the specified dates to confirm their status and obtain a code for the drug test.
A Visit To NDLEA Office
They must then visit the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) office in their respective states to undergo the screening.
Jibril explained that candidates must present a certificate confirming they are free from illegal drugs before they can collect their appointment letters in Abuja.
Those who successfully complete the drug screening will be required to converge on the Federal Capital Territory for the collection of their appointment letters.
The board also clarified that the drug test would be conducted free of charge, with the Federal Government covering the cost.
It warned candidates against paying individuals who demand money for the screening or any part of the recruitment process.
Applicants who encounter such demands were advised to report the matter to the nearest security agency.
The board’s announcement provides guidance for candidates who have advanced through the recruitment process as they prepare to complete the remaining requirements for appointment.
