Arsenal Rise To Third In World’s Most Valuable Football Brands

Arsenal’s return to the summit of English football is beginning to pay dividends far beyond the pitch.

After ending a 22-year wait for the Premier League title, the Gunners have made another significant leap — this time in the commercial world — climbing to third place among the world’s most valuable and strongest football club brands.

Arsenal rise to third in world’s most valuable football brands

The latest Brand Finance ranking saw Arsenal make the biggest jump among the leading clubs, moving up five places after their brand value surged by 28 per cent to €1.5 billion.

It is another striking sign of how Mikel Arteta’s transformation of the club is extending beyond trophies and matchday results.

Arsenal’s Revival Delivers Commercial Boost

Arsenal finally ended their long wait for a Premier League crown last season, claiming their first English top-flight title since 2004.

The achievement brought an emotional release for supporters who had spent more than two decades waiting to see the club back at the top of English football.

The Gunners then came agonisingly close to adding the Champions League trophy to their collection.

Their final against Paris Saint-Germain finished 1-1 after 90 minutes and extra time before Arsenal suffered defeat in the penalty shootout.

Despite the disappointment in Europe, the club’s growing reputation has continued to strengthen commercially.

Arsenal also signalled their readiness for another demanding season by defeating Manchester City 3-0 in the FA Community Shield last Sunday.

Now, attention turns to the Premier League, where the Gunners will begin their title defence against newly promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium on Friday.

Real Madrid Remain Football’s Biggest Brand

While Arsenal were the biggest movers near the top of the ranking, Real Madrid once again occupied the No. 1 position.

The Spanish giants retained the top spot for a third consecutive year, with Brand Finance valuing their brand at approximately €2.4 billion, following a 25 per cent increase.

Madrid also recorded the highest brand strength score among the 281 clubs assessed, scoring 95.8 out of 100.

Their continued dominance reflects the enormous commercial power they have built through decades of sporting success, a global fan base, international reach and a seemingly endless supply of superstar players.

Barcelona Close In On €2Bn

Barcelona maintained second place after recording a 15 per cent rise in brand value, bringing the Catalan giants close to the €2 billion mark.

Brand Finance attributed part of the club’s growth to its return to Spotify Camp Nou after more than two years away, as well as back-to-back La Liga triumphs.

The return to their historic home has provided another boost to the club’s commercial appeal while their success on the pitch has helped restore confidence around the institution.

Bayern, PSG And English Giants Complete Top 10

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich occupied fourth position with a brand value of €1.5 billion after recording a 21 per cent increase.

Paris Saint-Germain remained fifth, while Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United followed in sixth, seventh and eighth places respectively.

Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund completed the top 10.

For Arsenal, however, the biggest story is the speed of their rise.

Five places in a single year represents a remarkable commercial leap, and with the club entering a new Premier League season as defending champions, the Gunners now have an opportunity to turn their growing global brand power into something even more valuable: sustained dominance on the pitch.

After years of waiting, Arsenal are no longer simply chasing football’s biggest clubs.

They are increasingly becoming one of them.
