A moment involving Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde at a high-profile event in Lagos has sparked widespread conversation online after a video of her interaction with a young presenter surfaced.

The incident occurred at the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner, where several prominent figures gathered for the occasion.
During a live segment, the presenter—who appeared somewhat inexperienced—approached the actress and opened with an awkward prompt, asking her to introduce herself on camera.
“Alright, welcome to the 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner. I am currently live with…?” he said, trailing off as he turned to her.
The question seemed to catch the veteran actress off guard.
After a brief pause, she responded with visible irritation, questioning the presenter’s preparedness.
The Interview
She challenged the need to state her own name, suggesting he was not adequately equipped for the interview.
“You are here with who? I should tell you my name? You are not ready,” she remarked, signaling her discomfort and preparing to disengage.
Trying to salvage the moment, the presenter clarified that he already knew who she was and simply wanted viewers to be aware of her identity.
However, the explanation did little to change her stance.
“Why should I let fans know me? I am tired,” she replied, maintaining her reluctance.
Although the exchange continued briefly, the interaction remained tense, with the actress appearing unimpressed by the line of questioning.
The clip has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some viewers criticising the presenter’s approach, while others debated whether the actress’s response was too harsh.
