Mrs. Chizoba Eke, who was dumped in a soak away pit for three days by kidnappers, survived after she was rescued alive by the People of Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area of River State.
She is now in the hospital recovering while receiving treatment.
On Monday 17 August, 2020, kidnappers visited Mrs. Chizoba Eke and her six months old child from where they live in Igwuruta.
Awajis George, who witnessed when she was brought out of the pit said, the kidnappers dumped her inside a soakaway pit and left with her six months old baby.
Fortunately, the police has caught one of the kidnappers at a stop-and-search point with the baby at the boundary between Rivers and Imo State in southern Nigeria.
People were surprised to see her alive when she was brought out as she has been inside the soakaway put for three days without food or water.
She is now in the hospital receiving treatment.
Police spokesperson, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the story saying, they’ve arrested one of the suspect and he’s helping them with the investigation.
