Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to reports of his recent confrontation with a military officer in Abuja, declaring that he “cannot be intimidated by anyone.”

The clash reportedly occurred during an inspection visit to a disputed parcel of land in the Guzape area of Abuja, where soldiers allegedly attempted to prevent the minister and his team from accessing the site.
Addressing journalists afterward, Wike maintained that no one, regardless of rank or position, is above the law.
“I respect the military and all security agencies, but I will not be intimidated in the course of performing my duties. The FCT belongs to Nigeria, and we will not allow anyone to take over government land under any guise,” he stated.
Wike emphasized that the FCT Administration remains committed to restoring order and reclaiming illegally occupied government lands, warning that enforcement actions will continue across the territory.
