Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James and her husband, Femi Atere, have announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared the joyful update on Instagram with a video revealing Veekee’s growing baby bump. In the clip, Veekee and Femi appeared in coordinated outfits, symbolising the beginning of a new chapter in their journey as a family.
Veekee captioned the post: “And two shall become 3 🥹 Indeed this is what only GOD can do 🙏🏼 #babyontheway #pregnancyannouncement.”
The renowned bridal and couture designer married Atere in 2023.
In late 2025, rumours about a possible pregnancy began circulating online after fans observed changes in Veekee’s appearance in photos and videos. At the time, the couple chose not to address the speculation.
Following the official announcement, congratulations have poured in from fans, fellow fashion designers, entertainers, and social media users, all celebrating the couple’s upcoming bundle of joy.
The baby will be the first child for Veekee and Femi, marking a significant and happy milestone in their marriage.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Nollywood actress and movie producer Blessing Nze has opened up about how finances are managed in her marriage to actor Stan Nze.
Blessing explained that their relationship is not built on conventional financial arrangements such as 50/50 or 70/30. Instead, she described their system as one rooted in mutual responsibility and partnership.

According to her, both she and her husband step in to cover expenses whenever necessary, without keeping score of who contributes more. They simply pay for what is needed and later exchange receipts to maintain a record of spending, emphasising teamwork over comparison.
