More than 40 Nigerians have been deported by the United Kingdom over immigration problems which ranges from expired visa and fake documents.
The deportees arrived the Murtala Muhammed international Airport Lagos aboard a chartered aircraft painted in white and blue colours.
It was alleged that the deportees which comprises of 33 males and eight females had sought for asylum status in UK, but were not granted by the immigration authorities.
A source from the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, said most of the deportees entered the UK through illegal means while documents of others have expired.
He stated that none of the deportees had major criminal records before their deportation and would be left to go to their various destinations after going through the immigration process.
