Two Parents of Abducted Niger Students Die Amid Trauma

Tragedy has struck in Niger State as two parents of students abducted from St Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri village, Agwara LGA, have reportedly died following days of extreme trauma and emotional distress.

According to local reports, the parents—already devastated by the kidnapping of their children—succumbed to shock and health complications linked to the ongoing crisis. Community members say the atmosphere in Papiri remains tense, with many families living in fear as the search for the abducted students continues.

The attack on St Mary’s Catholic School was one of the latest in a series of mass abductions targeting schools across northern Nigeria, reigniting concerns about rising insecurity and the safety of children.
