The announcement was made by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, who described the projects as landmark developments expected to leave a lasting impact on the state’s growth and urban transformation.

Among the projects lined up for inauguration are the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, a new Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LASGIS) headquarters in Alausa, a Multi-Agency Government Complex, the upgraded Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, the Maracana sports facility, and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub located in Abijo.

Akosile extended an open invitation to residents to welcome the President, emphasizing the significance of the visit and the projects being commissioned.

Providing further insight, the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, noted that each project was carefully planned to tackle pressing infrastructure challenges across Lagos.

He explained that the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge would help decongest some of the city’s busiest routes by offering alternative pathways for motorists traveling through areas like Allen, Maryland, and Ojota.

Osiyemi also highlighted the role of the new LASGIS facility in modernising land administration through enhanced digital systems, while the Multi-Agency Complex is expected to improve efficiency by centralizing government operations.

On the economic front, the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo is designed to boost agricultural trade by providing improved storage and distribution systems for farm produce.

In the education sector, the revamped Tolu Schools Complex now boasts upgraded classrooms, ICT labs, and sports amenities aimed at enriching the learning environment.

Meanwhile, the refurbished Maracana facility in Ajegunle features 19 mini football pitches, a move geared toward encouraging grassroots sports development and discovering young talents.
