Three policemen and one suspected armed robber were feared killed in a robbery operation in Iwo, Osun State on Tuesday evening.
The hoodlums went straight to the police station in the town and attacked the men on duty before proceeding to the area where the three banks in the town are located.
The banks are First Bank; Skye Bank and Sterling Bank.
The hoodlums attacked the three banks which are very close to the Bowen University but the university was not attacked.
Some of the automated teller machines at the banks were reportedly removed by the hoodlums but it was not clear if they took the machines away.
