Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, revealed that three Nigerians who were recently evacuated from Dubai have been tested positive for COVID-19.
Nigerian government earlier in the month had evacuated about 6, 256 Nigerian citizens who were living in Dubai because of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Professor Akin Abayomi, who is the Lagos state Commissioner for Health, had today, Sunday the 17th May, tweeted that, three of the evacuees have tested positive for COVID-19 in Lagos state and have taken to isolation centre.
His tweet; ”3 of the returnees recently evacuated from Dubai have tested positive for #COVID19 infection following #COVID19 test conducted on them.
Those affected have been admitted to @followlasg #COVID19 care centre for appropriate treatment protocols.”
