Speaking to a large gathering of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Gusau Trade Fair Complex, Shettima dismissed the ADC as lacking substance and direction.

He likened the opposition party to an “empty bone,” arguing that it has neither the structure nor the capacity to deliver meaningful governance to Nigerians.

According to him, the party does not possess the qualities required to address the nation’s pressing challenges.

In a related development, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to confronting insecurity across the country.

The president made this known while hosting Shettima and 23 state governors at his Lagos residence during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

Tinubu emphasised that ensuring the safety of Nigerians remains a top priority, noting that discussions on security were central to recent engagements held in the United Kingdom.

He added that his government is exploring advanced security solutions, including ongoing collaboration with Emmanuel Macron.

The president further stressed that insecurity poses a significant threat to national growth and prosperity, urging continued cooperation among political leaders to overcome the challenge.
