American rapper Offset has reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot injury in Florida on Monday evening.

Authorities confirmed that two suspects are currently in custody following the incident, which took place shortly after 7 p.m. near the valet section of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

A representative for the rapper told Variety that he is receiving treatment and remains in stable condition under close medical supervision.

“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson said.

Law enforcement officials stated that the situation was swiftly contained.

According to police, the victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Meanwhile, two individuals have been detained as investigations continue.

“The scene has been secured, and normal activities at the location have resumed,” authorities added, noting that further details about the circumstances leading to the shooting are still unclear.

Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, gained prominence as a member of the influential hip-hop trio Migos, alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff.

Since their formation in 2008, the group has delivered chart-topping hits like Bad and Boujee and released acclaimed projects, including their breakthrough album Culture in 2017.
