Rabiu Kwankwaso Rallies Supporters at Sallah Homage, Emphasises Unity

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential flagbearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has urged members of the Kwankwasiyya movement and his wider support base to stay dedicated to their collective goals.

He made this appeal on Sunday while receiving a large crowd of supporters, associates, and political allies at his Kano residence as part of the movement’s traditional Sallah homage.

In a message shared via his verified 𝕏 account, the former governor of Kano State highlighted the critical role of loyalty and active engagement in keeping the movement strong.

He expressed gratitude to party leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and online supporters for their consistent commitment and efforts in promoting their shared ideals.

The Deep Tradition

Kwankwaso described the Sallah homage as a deeply rooted tradition within the Kwankwasiyya movement, noting that the impressive turnout demonstrated enduring unity and enthusiasm among members.

He thanked attendees for setting aside their personal schedules to participate in the celebration, adding that their presence made the occasion particularly meaningful.

The gathering also drew several prominent figures from across the political landscape.

Among those present were Kano State Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, lawmakers at both federal and state levels, as well as former government officials.

Kwankwaso further acknowledged the attendance of key NNPP leaders, including National Chairman Ahmed Ajuji and Isaac Idahosa.

Representatives of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), such as Naja’atu Muhammad and Musa Ungogo, were also present.

Adding to the event’s profile were notable political personalities including Peter Obi, Seyi Makinde, and Seriake Dickson, whose presence, Kwankwaso said, brought added energy and significance to the occasion.

He also extended appreciation to entertainers affiliated with the Kwankwasiyya movement, commending their role in creating a lively and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.
