President Tinubu Decorates Newly Appointed Service Chiefs After Senate Confirmation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially decorated the newly appointed Service Chiefs just days after their confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.

The investiture ceremony, held inside the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, symbolized the formal transition of military leadership aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture.

Those decorated include:

General Olufemi Oluyede – Chief of Defence Staff

Major-General W. Shaibu – Chief of Army Staff

Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke – Chief of Air Staff

Rear Admiral I. Abbas – Chief of Naval Staff

President Tinubu charged the new military chiefs to demonstrate professionalism, discipline, and commitment in defending the nation’s territorial integrity while fostering inter-agency collaboration to ensure lasting peace across the country.

This development comes amid renewed efforts by the Tinubu administration to tackle security challenges and enhance operational efficiency within the Armed Forces.
