President Muhamamdu Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, replacing him with Justice Tanko Muhammad, who by ranking is the next most senior Justice of the Supreme Court.
The President hinged the suspension of Onnoghen on the recommendations of the Code of Conduct Tribunal
He also said the action is in line with his anti- corruption policy.
According to the President, the suspension is to pave way for onnoghen’s to face his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
