A 25-year-old lady identified as Onyinye Chime has been arrested in Anambra state by the Anambra state police command for stabbing her boyfriend to death over abortion saga.
Onyinye Chime stabbed her boyfriend identified as Mr Elehi Azubuike to death at his home located at Ochiagha street, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The sad incident took place at the room of the diseased person.
Miss Onyinye Chime was impregnated by the diseased. The diseased wanted an abortion to be done immediately as he wasn’t ready to raise a child at the moment.
Onyinye refused to abort the child, but demanded that the diseased should give her money for upkeep.
The diseased refused to give her any money unless she was ready to abort the pregnancy.
The diseased and miss Onyinye began to argue as none of them was ready to do the bidding of the other person.
The argument degenerated into a physical confrontation and miss Onyinye stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife.
The incident was immediately reported at the police station. Police officers from Ogidi police division arrived the scene as quickly as possible.
The victim was rushed to Iyi Enu Mission hospital. The medical doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival.
The dead body of the diseased was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
Preliminary supervision of the dead body disclosed that he was stabbed on the chest.
The police were able to recover the kitchen knife used during the stabbing incident.
The murder weapon will be used as exhibit.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the police station for further investigation.
