The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Amupitan, on Wednesday convened a high-level strategy session with Resident Electoral Commissioners at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting was held just four days after the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections, as well as the bye-elections conducted in Rivers and Kano states last Saturday.
Although the agenda of the closed-door session was not immediately disclosed, the discussions are believed to be part of INEC’s routine post-election review process aimed at assessing the conduct of the polls and addressing emerging concerns.
