12-year-old boy identified as Ojonugwa, was set ablaze by suspected mobile phone thieves, to prevent him from exposing them.
According to reports, the young boy knew the thieves and because they were afraid that he might expose them, they set him ablaze.
The incident happened last Saturday, in Ogugu, Kogi State.
Ojonugwa however, got up and threw himself into a drum of water as soon as the thieves fled on their motorcycles.
He was there after rushed to the hospital for medical care.
According to Punchng, the Chief of Staff to Kogi State governor, Chief Edward Onoja, who visited the boy in the hospital, promised that the perpetrators of the crime would be brought to book.
