Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has dismissed online speculation linking her romantically to fellow actor Kachi Nnochiri after a viral video sparked rumours.
The clip, which circulated widely on social media, showed Ovire walking arm-in-arm with Nnochiri at an event.
The moment quickly ignited chatter among fans, with some suggesting the pair might be romantically involved—especially amid ongoing rumours surrounding her marriage to filmmaker Frederick Leonard.
However, Ovire swiftly addressed the claims in the comment section of an Instagram post.
She made it clear that there was nothing romantic about the interaction, explaining that Nnochiri was merely assisting her as she navigated the venue in high heels. She also pointed out that he is married.
“Kachi is happily married, una don start. He was helping me cos of my heels,” she wrote.
The speculation gained traction against the backdrop of unconfirmed reports about possible strain in Ovire’s marriage.
Observers recently noticed that Leonard’s name, which previously appeared in her Instagram bio, had been removed—an action that further fueled rumours of a split.
Although neither Ovire nor Leonard has publicly commented on the state of their relationship, fans have pointed to several subtle signs.
The couple, who got married in 2022, have not been seen together at public events in recent months and have also refrained from exchanging birthday messages online, a gesture they previously shared.
