Paystack Fires Co-Founder Ezra Olubi After Sexual Misconduct

Nigerian fintech giant Paystack has terminated the appointment of its co-founder and former CTO, Ezra Olubi, following public allegations of sexual misconduct that went viral earlier in the week.

According to Olubi, the company dismissed him without granting him a meeting or an opportunity to defend himself against the accusations. He stated that his legal team is currently reviewing the circumstances surrounding his removal and evaluating possible actions.

Paystack has not yet released a detailed public statement beyond confirming his exit, but insiders say the company moved swiftly to protect its reputation as the allegations gained widespread attention online.

The development has sparked intense debate in Nigeria’s tech community, with discussions centered on workplace ethics, due process, and the broader implications for one of Africa’s most prominent fintech companies.
