The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Federal Government to take decisive action against terrorists and their sponsors, warning that failure to do so could worsen the nation’s security challenges amid growing global attention.

Speaking during a special service at the RCCG Headquarters in Lagos, Adeboye emphasized that the government must act “swiftly and decisively” to restore peace before any foreign power, particularly the United States, considers military involvement in Nigeria’s internal affairs.
“It is the responsibility of our leaders to defend the people and crush terrorism in all its forms. We cannot afford to wait for outsiders to do what we should have done ourselves,”
— Pastor E.A. Adeboye said.
The revered cleric noted that while the U.S. government’s recent statements on alleged religious persecution in Nigeria have stirred diplomatic tension, the real priority should remain on protecting innocent citizens and preserving national sovereignty.
Adeboye also urged Nigerians to remain calm and prayerful, assuring that “God’s hand is still upon the nation” and that unity and peace will prevail if the leadership acts with courage and justice.
