Nigerian content creator and actress Papaya Ex took to social media in distress after her prized iPhone 16 Pro Max was reported missing, sparking an online appeal for its safe return.

The viral video star shared on her Instagram Stories that the phone, outfitted in a distinctive pink case, was taken from her personal assistant during the Arinzo movie premiere — specifically near the front table close to the stage.
According to Papaya Ex, the device holds not only her contacts, but years’ worth of documents, work projects, and vital information.
In an emotional message to followers, she wrote, “They just stole my phone… please, I use Almighty God to beg you — if you find any iPhone 16 Pro Max with a pink case, I swear I’ll give you ₦500,000.”
The actress later updated the reward, increasing it to ₦700,000, as she pleaded with anyone who might have the phone to return it intact. “Please don’t wipe the phone — all my documents from 2015 are there,” she said, emphasizing the devastating impact losing the files would have on her work and career.
Papaya Ex appealed directly to Lagos residents, telling finders they could return the phone anonymously by messaging her through a fake account or dropping it off at her mother’s shop in Lagos 24, Ereko, Idumota, on Lagos Island.
She also cautioned the public against buying any second‑hand phone featuring her photos, urging fans and followers to spread the word and help reunite her with the lost device.
