NYSC Releases 2026 Batch A Stream II Orientation Timetable

According to an official statement issued by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the three-week orientation programme will take place concurrently in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The exercise is set to kick off on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with the arrival, documentation, and registration of corps members at their respective camps. Registration will continue through Friday, April 24, closing at midnight on that day.

The Swearing-In Ceremony

A major highlight of the opening phase—the swearing-in ceremony—will also be held on Friday, April 24. This event formally inducts participants into national service and marks the beginning of their NYSC journey.

The orientation course will run for 21 days, wrapping up on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

Throughout the programme, corps members will engage in a mix of activities, including paramilitary drills, lectures, and skills acquisition sessions designed to prepare them for the service year ahead.

Goodwill To Corp Members

While extending goodwill to participants, the NYSC emphasised the importance of personal safety during travel.

Prospective corps members were strongly advised to avoid night journeys.
