The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps NYSC Brigadier General Suleiman Kuzaure has threatened to close down the Orientation Camp in Niger State North Central Nigeria due to Inadequate and dilapidated facilities .
The DG who visited the camp on Thursday said he’s disappointed with the stage of structures in the secondary school used as orientation Camp for Corp members in the state despite several plead to the state Government by the National Headquarters of the NYSC.
Brigadier General Kazaure who was led through the hostels, kitchen and other areas in the camp said the Niger state orientation Camp is so far the worst in the Country.
The Director General of the National Youth Service Corp further said possibly the camp in Niger State may be close down if the state Government is unable to show interest in the affairs of the NYSC Camp.
Brigadier General Kazaure also advise Corp members serving across the country to avoid been partisan in the next coming General election in Nigeria.
He however said the NYSC is partnering with the Independent Electoral Commission INEC ,Security agencies and other stake holders for the safety of the NYSC members during the period of the election.
