The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially approved the establishment of a Faculty of Law at Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), marking a significant expansion of the institution’s academic offerings.

With this approval, AKSU now boasts 11 faculties, strengthening its position as one of the fastest-growing state universities in Nigeria. The new Law Faculty is expected to enhance access to legal education, boost professional training, and support the development of skilled legal practitioners within the state and beyond.
