Nkechi Blessing Sunday has called out a growing trend in the film industry, expressing irritation over actors who collect large fees but fail to promote the movies they appear in.
The Nollywood star took to Instagram to address colleagues who negotiate high pay to feature in her productions, only to go silent when it’s time to support the project publicly.
According to her, while she has no issue with actors charging what they believe they deserve, the real problem begins after filming wraps.
She pointed out that some actors behave as though they volunteered their services for free once the movie is released, refusing to share or promote it on their social media platforms.
Nkechi stressed that this lack of support undermines the effort and investment that goes into producing a film.
Warning that such actions could spark serious conflicts, she made it clear that promotion is part of the responsibility that comes with being paid to act. She added that neglecting to help publicize a project is simply unacceptable.
In her message, she bluntly stated that she works hard for her money and expects professionalism in return.

She also cautioned that anyone unwilling to promote a film they were well-compensated for should avoid working with her altogether to prevent unnecessary disputes.
