Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Mohammed lai said the rising level of hate speech in the country is on the increase and capable of threatening the nations unity,peace and stability.
The Minister made this known on Tuesday at the first West African Regional Round of the price Media Law Moot Court Competition in Lagos, South West Nigeria.
He said Hate speech is becoming increasingly prevalent in all areas of Nigeria’s national endeavor, including religious, social, political and communal.
He urged that all Nigerians from all class should rise up to curb the rise of hate speech
