Nigerian TikTok personality and livestreamer Habeeb Hamzat, widely recognised online as Peller, has narrowly avoided injury following a fire outbreak involving his generator in the early hours of Saturday.
The content creator revealed the incident on his Instagram page, sharing a video that captured the alarming moment flames engulfed the power unit. In the clip, Peller appeared shaken as he called out for assistance while the fire raged.
Those present at the scene battled the blaze using buckets of water, eventually bringing it under control after several tense minutes.
Although the generator was completely destroyed, the fire did not spread to the building, and no injuries were reported.
The exact cause of the outbreak has yet to be confirmed.
Supporters quickly filled his comment section with messages of gratitude and relief, praising the swift response that prevented what could have been a more devastating outcome.
The footage has since made the rounds on other social media platforms, sparking conversations about generator safety and emergency preparedness.
The incident adds to a previous scare involving the influencer months ago on the Lekki–Epe Expressway.
During a livestream titled “RIP Peller,” he appeared visibly distressed while driving his Mercedes-Benz and engaging in what seemed to be an emotional phone conversation.
His remarks during the broadcast raised concern among viewers, and the situation escalated when the vehicle eventually collided with a roadside object.
