Nigerian singer Crayon has stirred conversation online after opening up about a personal experience involving fellow music star Tiwa Savage.

In a recent chat with streamer Caterefe, the artist revealed that his first encounter with a substance known as “Backy” dates back to 2018.
He described “Backy” as a mix of substances often combined into a rolled blunt.
According to him, Tiwa Savage casually asked if he smoked, and after he responded yes, she handed it to him—an experience he claims marked the beginning of his habit.
Crayon also admitted that around that period, he had a strong admiration for Tiwa Savage, describing her as his celebrity crush at the time.
The revelation comes amid a wave of controversy surrounding the singer and his former label boss, Don Jazzy.
In a string of posts on 𝕏, Crayon accused the Mavin Records head of stifling his growth and made shocking claims linking the label to personal hardships, including the death of his mother.
He further threatened to expose and dismantle the label.
Weighing in on the situation, music producer Samklef took a swipe at Don Jazzy, suggesting that recent developments might be tied to his association with online activist VeryDarkMan.
Samklef argued that since this connection began, artists under Mavin Records have appeared to lose momentum.

He also pointed to Ayra Starr, noting that she seemed visibly strained in a recent video, hinting that all might not be well within the label’s camp.
