The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of online applications for its 91st Regular Recrits Intake (91RRI), targeting both tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women across the country.

The recruitment portal is scheduled to go live on March 30, 2026, and will remain open until May 17, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
Interested candidates must meet the following conditions:
Must be single Nigerian citizens by birth
Must possess valid NIN and BVN (with matching details)
Must be physically, medically, and mentally fit
Candidate must have no criminal record
Must have a minimum of four credits including English (in not more than two sittings)
For Trades Applicants:
Must hold relevant Trade Test or City & Guild certificates
Age Requirements:
18–22 years for non-trades applicants
Not more than 26 years for trades applicants
Height Requirements:
Minimum of 1.68m for males
Minimum of 1.65m for females
Applicants must also present valid birth certificates and state of origin certificates.

Screening Exercise
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for screening exercises in their respective states of origin from June 9 to June 23, 2026.
Applicants are expected to present the following documents:
* Photo card
* Parent/guardian consent form
* Local government identification certificate
* Police clearance certificate
* Completed guarantor’s form
The screening process will include:
* Physical fitness assessments
* Medical examinations
* Verification of submitted documents
Important Guidelines
Applicants are strongly advised to note the following:
There will be no computer-based test
Electronic devices are prohibited at screening centres
Tattoos and body inscriptions are not allowed
Multiple piercings are prohibited
Submission of fake documents will lead to disqualification and possible prosecution
