Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has clarified that her invitation extended to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and several colleagues was procedural and not driven by personal reasons.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the senator emphasized that her actions were in line with legislative protocol and the rules of the National Assembly, countering claims suggesting the move was politically or personally motivated.
“There’s nothing personal about my invitation to the Senate President or any of my colleagues. It was purely procedural, in accordance with legislative standards,” Natasha stated.
She further cautioned against media misinterpretations that could sow division within the Senate, urging the public to focus on issues of governance and accountability rather than unfounded controversies.
The clarification comes amid growing public interest in the Senate’s internal proceedings and follows recent exchanges between lawmakers on matters of ethics and transparency.
