The 53-year-old from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has neurofibromatosis type-1, a genetic condition that affects the nervous system and skin in many forms.
The tumours cover Sandra’s body from top to toe, and has been passed on to three of her four children, but sadly, it killed her son when he was aged six.
