Bi-Courtney Aviation Services (BASL) operators of Murtala Muhammed Domestic Airport 2 (MMA2) is set to begin the installation of new sets of X-ray machines and air conditioners.
This is part of its resolve to upgrade safety, security and comfort of passengers in its terminal,
Acting Head of Business, BASL Mr Raphael Uchegbu disclosed the new development when the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) paid a courtesy visit to the operator.
Uchegbu noted that BASL has been upgrading and improving all its facilities since inception.
According to him, when BASL started operations, the company had all its facilities intact as at 2015 which later needed to be changed.
For this, Uchegbu said that, the management had to change a lot of things including escalators anong other equipment.
“When we started operations. We had all the facilities in 2015.. We changed a lot of things. We are expecting X-ray machines to arrive today. And Air conditioners too”, Uchegbu said.
In his remark, Group Corporate Affairs manager, Mr Mikail Mumuni said that BASL has been making so much improvements in its facility upgrades but lamented that the company is not really projected for the good things that it has been doing.
Mumuni observed that Nigeria has a very huge infrastructure deficit, stressing that “government is incapable of bridging the gap. The onus is on those that are materially endowed to do it”
Appreciating LAAC’s visit, Mumuni advised the league to keep the airport beat virile, just as he solicited for continued media support.
