one person has been killed with 16 others severely burnt, following an explosion linked to kerosene adulteration in Cross River State.
The state’s Commissioner for Petroleum, Itaya Asuquo Nyong, who confirmed the incident, said his ministry will launch an investigation into where the adulterated products are bought and also identify those behind it.
Also the state Commissioner for Health Asibong Inyang, who visited the victims at the hospital, promised to donate medical accessories to the ward in support of their treatment.
She also assured that the government would get to the root of the matter adding that the Ministry of Health would also educate residents on the dangers of using adulterated products.
