Senator Kalu accuses Otti of focusing on cosmetic improvements, not substantive infrastructural development in Abia North Senatorial District.
Speaking in Umuahia, Kalu claimed Otti’s administration is merely “repainting old roads” instead of initiating beneficial new road projects.
“What we are seeing is a superficial approach to governance,” Senator Kalu stated, criticizing the governor’s focus.
“The governor is busy repainting existing roads, neglecting the urgent need for new infrastructure to boost agricultural trade.”
He challenged the governor to publish all road projects, costs, and contractors for transparency and to ensure accountability.
Abia State government dismissed Kalu’s allegations as baseless and politically motivated, denying the senator’s claims.
Commissioner Ukoh stated the Otti-led administration is committed to holistic development, including road rehabilitation, and investments in critical sectors.
Ukoh insists criticisms should be based on facts, not on a desire to undermine the progress being made in the state.
