The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has kicked off the sale of application forms for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission process, opening the door for qualified candidates to begin registration.

A notice was shared on JAMB’s official X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday.
Via the statement, the examination body announced that registration started on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will run until Saturday, April 25, 2026.
JAMB made it clear that the entire registration process will be conducted strictly through its approved centres nationwide.
Transparency
According to the board, the purchase of e-PINs and application documents is limited exclusively to its accredited state and zonal offices across the country.
The measure, it said, is designed to promote transparency and eliminate irregularities commonly linked to third-party agents.
The Direct Entry pathway offers candidates with higher qualifications an opportunity to gain admission straight into the 200 level of university programmes without sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Eligible applicants include holders of qualifications such as National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) certificates, A-Level certificates, and other recognised equivalents.
The option remains a preferred route for many graduates of polytechnics and colleges of education who intend to pursue university degrees in Nigeria.
Deadline
The opening of the Direct Entry registration follows the recent conclusion of the 2026 UTME registration exercise, which ended on February 28.
With the application window now active, prospective candidates are encouraged to begin their registration early and ensure all requirements are completed before the April 25 deadline.

JAMB has consistently advised applicants to follow official guidelines and carry out all registration activities only at authorised centres to avoid complications.
