A family rift within the camp of Senate President Godswill Akpabio has surfaced after his in-law reportedly threatened to expose an alleged rape case in France, throwing support behind Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

In a social media post that has since gone viral, the in-law accused Akpabio of hypocrisy and abuse of power, vowing to “reveal everything” if the Senate President continues to attack political opponents.
The outburst comes amid heightened political tension between Akpabio and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, following her recent remarks on corruption and governance.
While the Senate President has yet to respond officially to the allegations, political observers note that the public fallout could further deepen internal divisions within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and strain family relations.
Authorities in France have not commented on any case linked to the Senate President as of press time.
