The singer made the remarks while entertaining guests at the 52nd birthday celebration of Nollywood actor Fatai Odua, popularly known as Lalude.

The event, held on March 30, 2026, featured a lively performance from Osupa, during which he engaged playfully with members of his band.

In a video that surfaced online days later, the Fuji icon jokingly advised his backup singers to consider spiritual methods to sharpen their memory after noticing they were struggling to keep pace with his lyrics.

While speaking lightheartedly, he suggested certain traditional approaches, emphasizing that such practices do not automatically make someone evil or fetish.

Osupa went on to share that he has never hidden his beliefs.

According to him, he once declined advice to publicly deny involvement in spiritual practices, insisting instead on being open about his lifestyle.

He explained that his intentions are not harmful, but rather focused on personal growth and success.

The singer also revealed that he regularly pays homage to Ifa, describing it as an important part of his daily routine, even if he does not fully claim deep knowledge of its mysteries.

Adding a humorous touch, Osupa questioned what alternatives he should rely on if not spiritual means, jokingly referencing common medications as ineffective paths to success.

He concluded by suggesting that many people engage in similar practices privately, while presenting himself as someone who simply chooses to be honest about it, rather than conceal it behind religious appearances.
