Nigerian lawmaker and businessman, Senator Ned Nwoko, has refuted viral claims suggesting he has taken a new wife.
In a statement released on Friday, the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District described the reports as false, misleading, and maliciously fabricated to stir unnecessary controversy.
“I don’t have any form of private or personal connection with her. The story making rounds about me marrying another wife is entirely baseless,” Nwoko stated.
He further warned against the spread of fake news, noting that such fabrications were attempts to tarnish his image and create discord within his family.
“People should verify information before sharing. This level of falsehood only shows how far some are willing to go for attention or clout,” he added.
The senator, who is married to popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, reaffirmed his commitment to his family and responsibilities in public service, urging the public to disregard the rumors.
